Developing a good posture is an easy and very important way to maintain a healthy mind and body. When you practice correct posture, your body is in alignment with itself. This can alleviate common problems such as back or neck pain, headaches, and fatigue. Being in good general health while standing (or sitting) tall will also boost your bearing and self confidence.
The primary purpose of muscle tone (as per its real definition) is to keep your muscles primed and ready for action. The always activated state of partial contraction maintains balance and posture, and it also functions as a safety mechanism that allows for a quick, unconscious muscle reflex reaction to any sudden muscle fiber stretch. Muscle tone also generates heat and keeps your muscles healthy. If the nerve to a particular muscle is damaged, it may no longer be able to stimulate the muscle contractions necessary to maintain muscle tone and the muscle will become flaccid and eventually it will deteriorate.
The core, which includes the abdominals, pelvic floor, lower back, hips and glues, is the foundation of all movement, so to say core work is important would be an understatement. Core strength allows us to move with more efficiency, increase our power and speed, and help us maintain good form during an endurance event. Not all core exercises are created equally. There are many wasteful exercises out there that do not engage the entire core. I will train you with the right core exercises that fits your body type.
